Singing Death
The Luvender - The Love Ender
Hidden in the darkest clouds, the Luvender listens out for the cries of those suffering from the aftermath of failed love. The mouths scattered all over the flesh of its body respond to the cries with a song of death that eases the human sorrows slowly but painlessly. In midst of the seemingly hypnotic state, the Luvender devours them, and with each life it consumes its ' petals ' flourishes, bringing it closer to its own wish to dissipate into its own death.

I snapped into what seemed like a trance working on this, it was for an art challenge..the subject ticked something in my head and Luvender felt strong. The deadline was the day after I knew about the challenge so it’s a lil’ rushed but..i’m still quite happy with the outcome. It really has been a while.


Edit: I refined this a little bit, and uploaded a biiigger version :) Enjoy!

Wow... the amount of detailing is just gorgeous on this! I just love the play on angles, how it seems like the girl is on a standard plane, yet floating, and how the Luvender is seeming to drop onto her from above. Genius. :)
This deserves more comments and faves. Way more.

Really improved. It's so watercolour-ish, that I wants to steal your brain still. :D Very nice lighting and concept. Bottom left corner seems very empty though with everything happening in the rest of the space. ('_';)
